英文計畫摘要 | In recent years, climate change has widely effects, including shifting in precipitation patterns and increasing in the frequency of flooding and droughts on Taiwan, especially central region (Miaoli County, Taichung City, Nantou County, Changhua County and Yunlin County). Accordingly, stable water supply and potential of emergency water supply are the most important issues of water resource in central region. To increase the utilization and ability of water supply in central region, the plans of artificial lake and hyporheic flow should be reviewed and evaluated.
Geological condition, source of water, water quality, environmental impact and economic benefit are the important factors in assessment of artificial lake and hyporheic flow. There are 7 main rivers which are Jhonggang River, Houlung River, Da-an River, Dajia River, Wu River, Jhuoshuei River and Beigang River in central region. Besides Jhonggang River and Houlung River, the preliminary assessments of artificial lake have been completed. In addition to Jhonggang River and n Beigang River, the preliminary assessments of hyporheic flow have been finished. Furthermore, the new preliminary plans of artificial lake and hyporheic flow for each river have been evaluated in this project based on previous plans of water resource and hydraulic facilities in central region.
Following the result of preliminary assessments in this project, the water supply capability is 5 to 33 thousand CMD for artificial lake and 15 to 60 thousand CMD for hyporheic flow. Considering feasibility and urgency, the priority of hyporheic flow is higher than artificial lake. Therefore, all the plans of hyporheic flow have to be further evaluated according to water demand of each area. |
